Savotta 339 rucksack combines the ease of a backpack and the carrying advantages of a rucksack. When you throw 339 on your back, you could easily imagine that you are carrying a well supported rucksack. The 339 rucksack has been in Savotta's range since the 1950s, although the materials have been updated to more modern, but the design is the same.

There is a large main compartment in 339 rucksack, the opening is equipped with a clamping string and the closing is finished with a flap, that is tightened with straps. The straps are fairly long, so you can stuck forexample a sleeping pad under them. If you do not want to open the whole bag, there is a zippered opening on the right side of the bag, that gives access to your goods. There is tightening straps on the sides of 339 rucksack, that enables you to get tight and sturdy packing, even when the rucksack isn't full. Behind the sidestraps remains a suitable space, for example to store camping axe.

The side pockets of the backpack are closed with flap and secured with nylon straps. Side pockets are perfect for storing thermos flasks and other long shaped objects. There is a back pocket between the side pockets, which is closed with straps and flap. The back pocket is fair size, and it is good for storing little items, that needs to have easy access. The frame of the carrier is made of steel tube. 339 is equipped with a carrying harness similar to large backpacks.

The back length is adjustable for different lengths of users. The upper back is seated against mesh fabric and the lower back on a saddle made of string, which makes that the backpack is slightly pulled off the users back that reduces sweating. Shoulder straps are extra-wide and of course padded. A chest belt with a pistol lock, firmly ties the rucksack on your back. It is possible to adjust the center of gravity of the rucksack while walking, tightening and loosening the shoulder straps.
