Savotta Jääkäri L is a new model which lends much from the previous model Border Patrol which was originally designed for the Finnish Border Guard. This rucksack sized, 55 litre Jääkäri has been made by listening users and their experience with previous models and all the best suggestions from that demanding consumer group has been taken into production model. Now, here we have the Savotta Jääkäri L, with anatomically shaped design and great harnesses for heavy duty use.

Bomb proof material ahead, designed and handicrafted in Finland - this heavy duty rucksack will withstand everything you dare to present to it. Strong and sturdy "no-nonsense" design with great little details will help everybody to get their favourite gear and head out trekking and stuff. The volume of the Rajajääkäri is plenty enough for all your camping gear and stuff for around 5-7 days stays at a time.

Of course this Savotta Jääkäri is equipped with multiple MOLLE attchment points like many of the Savotta line up these days, you can attach any MOLLE / PALS compatible gear like pouches and stuff to numerous points across the rucksack. The rucksack is fairly narrow in design, meaning your hands are free to move all the time and you have easier time moving on thick bushes and other crowded areas. The internal support structure of the carrying system is designed so that the weight is distributed evenly on the pelvis, back and shoulders. The pelvies area takes most of the weight like it should, so the back and the shoulders do not need to work extra hard when you are carrying heavy loads.

There are multiple compression straps and possibilities to compress the backpack from any direction when needed. And don't worry if you travel with only half of the rucksack full, the compression straps make sure you have a balanced load on your back. There is a waterproof rolltop (dry sack style) closure mechanism at the top and the backpack itself can be easily overpacked - the height of the top is freely adjustable between 60 - 80cm. The rolltop opening is being operated with 25mm quick release buckle. The actual flap on the top can be adjusted with four straps. This floating design of the flap enables easy overpacking and the protection of the overpacked load.

All the straps are generous in lenght which provides lots of space and possibilities to attach products under the flap, to the bottom of the bag and so on, like sleeping bags, sleeping mats etc. The flap also has a zippered pocket for valuables inside and a place for velcro badge.

The main compartment can be divided into two separate sections, the bottom pocket has a zippered opening outside and can be separated from the main bag with a drawstring. At the backside, there is a velcro pocket which houses the DUR aluminium frame - you can use this pocket for hydration pack as well, there is a protected exit for hydration tube right under the rolltop closure. Every single MOLLE loop around this backpack can handle over 100kg of pulling force, they are tough and meant to last.

The carrying system for this specific rucksack has been made with great detail and with special attention to overall function and comfortability. It has exactly the same setup as the original Border Patrol backpack which has been in active use by the Finnish Border Guard for over 25 years. The ergonomically shaped frame made of DUR aluminium pipe has yet to find its match. The state of the art ergonomic shoulder straps and robust hip belt with a padding pillow form a world class package in terms of both durability and comfort. The hip belt is removable and can be used as a battle belt type of solution, you can attach additional pockets to the belt and use it in your campsite area for example.

On top there is a robust carrying handle which is wide enough to be used for carrying even with your winter gloves on. The Savotta Jääkäri L has been built to last and to surpass the expectations of even the most demanding users.
