Jager design is based on the Savotta light border patrol -backpack which is used by the Finnish border patrol. The idea of this design is produce a backpack that is compact and sturdy to carry, compared to other backpacks of this size. One of the key points of the design is the sleek profile of Jager, this enables easy movement in narrow spots or on demanding terrain.

Main differences between light border patrol and Jager:

- Metal buckle have been changed to ITW-Nexus snap locks (The same kind of snap locks that Savotta uses on the FDF-products (Finnish Defense Forces), they endure low temperatures and rough use without breaking.
- The front and sides now have PALS -webbing that enables additional pockets to be added.
- The old thermos flash holder is replaced with a modern hydration bladder pouch.
- The top lid has been updated in a way that makes over packing and compression much better.

Dimensions of the backpack are roughly 55 cm x 27 cm x 20 cm, volume is approx. 30 liters, not counting over packing
Made from the same kind of fabric that Savotta uses on FDF-products, extremely durable (1000D Cordura)
Lid is adjustable, its height can be altered to fit the packing needs (This helps over packing a lot)
Large main pouch that has a waterproof draw cord collar
Lid has a small pouch for valuables etc.
The main pouch is accessible from the side through a zipper, enabling easy access to your equipment inside
Main pouch zipper has two pullers, so it can be closed either way
On each lower side of the backpack, there is a open top pocket for carrying tools etc.
The side compression straps are great for too things 1. compressing 2. attaching items to the sides of the Jager
On the bottom there are four small loops. With additional packing straps you and attach for example a sleeping mat to the backpack

There is a slot for hydro tubes on each side
