The NorTent Lavvo 6 PC (PolyCotton) is made from a breathable blend of polyester and cotton that provides very good indoor air and breathes quite differently from tents made from lighter synthetic fabrics. Suitable for a 4-season camping, the Lavvo 6 PC is not the lightest in weight, but in other hand it will provide more comfort and sturdiness - the polyester / cotton fabric blend breathes really well and you don't have to deal with condensation building on the interior walls.

The Sami people of Norway have lived in nature for as long as they existed - even today they swear by the name of a traditional, tipi style shelters. This has also inspired NorTent when they developed their Lavvo PolyCotton versions. NorTent uses a fabric solution that brings out the best in a combination of synthetic and cotton materials. The fabric consists of a blend of polyester and cotton, it is extremely durable and breathable, yet relatively lightweight when compared to a completely cotton tent fabrics. This means that you can still somehow take this with you on hiking trips and enjoy the good qualities of a cotton tent.

The bottom edge of the tent is surrounded by a sturdy nylon brim, which prevents moisture and dirt from being absorbed into the polycotton fabric and is also hard enough material to collect stones and snow on top of it, making the shelter even more rugged when required. The Lavvo 6 PC is very quick to set up and, of course, ready for wood stove use. The Lavvo 6 PC with a wood stove is the ultimate luxury shelter no matter the season or the weather. A tipi tent with a stove has an atmosphere, is warm, you can dry clothes, keep rain, cook right on top of the fireplace, etc. Nothing beats a tent with a wood stove.

NorTent's Lavvo models are lower in height than traditional tiipii tents. The height of the tent has been kept moderate and there are more angles to get the most aerodynamic structure possible that does not sway and squirm even in the strongest winds. The 226cm height from the floor to the highest point and the 426cm diameter - 20 attachment points around the tent fabric ensure that you have a well wind and storm tolerant accommodation that is not shaky by the wind. Under normal circumstances, there is no need to set up the guy ropes on  the tent fabric at all, but if the weather requires, it is good to know that you can nail the tent to the ground in many ways and from several guy out points.

The Lavvo 6 PC is an excellent solution for both winter and summer trips. It can withstand any kind of weather and will succeed with changing conditions excellently. In winter you can collect snow on the ground skirts of the tent, in summer stones or other material can be used and thus further strengthen the setup. Please note that in winter it is not a good idea to let snow accumulate on top of the tent. Clean it of snow whenever it appears that snow is starting to accumulate on the surface of the tent fabric. This will prevent any damage caused by the snow load. The tent comes with a handy carrying case that carries the tent as well as all the accessories: ground stakes, guy ropes and a center pole. The ground staes (30 pcs) are made of high-quality aluminum, 20 cm long and are suitable for hard ground. There is a metal D-loop above the door opening, here you can easily attach a separate tarp and create a handy canopy or a porch on front of the door opening, here you can sit and keep the rain, for example.

More about the new PolyCotton tent fabric: Hybrid fabric that combines synthetic polyester and natural cotton (PC Polyester, Cotton). The function of polyester is to lighten the weight of the fabric and at the same time strengthen the wear resistance of the fabric in terms of its ripstop properties. 100% cotton would not be as strong in this case. The cotton of the fabric, on the other hand, makes the tent fabric really breathable, moist indoor air passes through the fabric (does not build up on the wall and form condensation), but at the same time protects it from rain from outside. With a breathable tent fabric like in Lavvo 6 PC, the risk of possible condensation inside the tent is almost zero. This means that you don’t need a separate inner tent, which is a good accessory for tents made from synthetic materials. The indoor air in a cotton fabric tent is drier and warmer than in tents with fully synthetic fabrics.

The tent has two ventilation flaps at the front and one large top at the back, the tent is well ventilated and air circulates. The PolyCotton fabric automatically regulates the indoor air in the tent if it gets too hot. On summer and hot days, in addition to normal ventilation, you can open both doors and keep them open with mosquito nets all night. Mosquito nets are on all doors and all ventilation flaps.
