NorTent Koie 7 is a stable and windproof shelter model with wood stove readiness. Koie 7 has three entrances - one in the middle and one at each end - and easily accommodates 7 people as is. If you get the separately bought inner tents, this one is a serious luxury basecamp shelter for 4 people with their gear. Koie 7 is designed for a larger crew, but also to tackle challenging weather conditions. NorTent Koie 7 is a bit like their Lavvo 6, but the middle part of the tent has been extended even further. A stretched from the middle lavvo tent if you could say so. Koie 7 is attached to the ground with 22 x stakes and with 11 x guy ropes around the tent, meaning this one will stay on place even on the poor weather. Storm and climate resistant shelter for a larger group. The name of the tent "Koie" comes from an old Norwegian accommodation model where former forest workers were offered housing and shelter for the winter season.

Of course, the tent fabric is 100% waterproof, but due to the very lightweight Silnyl material, it is good for the end user to go through the inner seams of the tent with silicone proofing and thus achieve 100% water resistance in the seams as well. Silnylon is such a material that it cannot be treated to be completely waterproof from the seams at the manufacturing stage. No worries, the tent comes with silicone tube for sealing the seams if needed. A fully enclosed tent is also not a perfect solution, good air circulation inside the tent is also required, this minimizes the condensation of moisture on the inner surface of the tent fabric. That's why Koie 7 is equipped with 3 ventilation flaps: 2 at the top of the tent, where moist air can escape and 1 large air vent closer to the ground, where replacement air enters the tent and serves a lot of fresh air, especially good when burning a wood stove inside the tent. The Koie 7 tent fabric also has dynema reinforcements at all stress points.

Lightweight and large hut for the group: minimum weight only 3.6kg if you want to walk lightly - however, it comes with a complete set of 2 x center poles, ground stakes and guy ropes, even then only 5.9kg in total! Height inside 185cm max and length 485cm. Suitable for 4-5 people + stove, but can accommodate 7 people if the wood stove is not on the equipment list.

Koie 7 is equipped with three entrances, one at each end and a large main entrance in the middle of the tent - the main entrance can be fixed in a tarp position as shown in the pictures and thus has a great vestibule and canopy area where you can sit with you camp chair, cook food and so on. When the middle door is open, you get more natural landscapes also into the shelter - you can see the nature and events directly from your tent. Equip the system with a titanium stove and you have a superb shelter with warmth and luxury.

Koie 7 has been designed for use with a wood stove from the start. It is not a mandatory purchase, but a highly recommended accessory for accommodations of this style. Nothing beats the feeling when stepping into a warm hut tent and start preparing evening meals right on top of the fireplace with frying pan or similar. Comfortable, warm and very atmospheric, tent accommodation with a wood stove takes the outdoor experience to a whole new level: It’s storming outside, pouring rain, it’s frosty, but you can take it easy in your 20-30 degree Celsius accommodation. The place of the stove in Koie 7 is positioned in the middle of the tent, from where the heat radiates evenly on both sides. If you choose inner tents (purchased separately), the stove can be operated easily and from both sides as well.

With Koie 7, it is possible to use two separate inner tents, one on each side of the tent. This makes the Koie 7 very versatile and you can decide whether to go on a trip with one or two inner tents, or leave them at home - it depends entirely on the nature of the adventure and your own preferences. When two inner tents are used, there are, as it were, two separate small tents inside the main accommodation - this way you can divide the tent into two bedrooms. 2-person expedition could choose one inner tent and take advantage of the rest of the Koie's interior area for other uses. Or 2 people can take their own inner tents for both and thus sleep in their own little tents inside the shelter. Wood stove is easily operated in all configurations. Inner tents (purchased separately), have a descending front wall and a mosquito net. Both are operated separately, for example you can close both flaps of the inner tent in cold weather, but in warm weather you can close the bug net and keep the view of the tent open without closing the flaps.

With stove: If a stove is included, we could say that this is the perfect option for 4 people and all gear, even if there are 2 x inner tents on each side. Leave the inner tents and stove out and this can accommodate 7 people side by side. Koie 7 also works perfectly without a stove.

All of the Koie 7 ventilation openings and doors have mosquito nets built-in. For example, on a warm night, you can leave some of the doors slightly open, but closed with a mosquito net, and thus further improve air circulation. NorTent Koie 7 is the result of 1.5 years of development and testing - here is a real adventure tent for 4-season camping with wood stove readiness and easily accommodates 7 people due to its size - if both inner tents are used, the accommodation is really great for 4 people.
