Kootamo Puukko 110 with a walnut handle is a hand-made full tang knife - manufactured by Ukrainian BPS Knives. A traditional camping knife with a fine leather sheath and strong 1066 carbon steel blade. Easy to hang on the belt, the included leather sheath enables two different carrying methods: you can choose either a short sheath, where the sheath is tighter on the belt, or a longer hanging style sheath. Strong and simple design, suitable for outdoors, camping and hikes.

Simple and reliable bushcraft -style knife for any camp, hunting and outing trip! Kootamo Puukko 110 with a full tang blade is made of 1066 carbon steel and the blade measures 110mm. The blade is 3mm thick and the spine is ground to a 90 degree angle, which makes it great for striking sparks from any ferrocerium rod. The length of the handle is 115mm and at the end there is a lanyard hole. We have included a black paracord pull with the knife.

A dark brown leather sheath included, with the sheath you can choose between high and low vertical carry. The Tang of the knife has been skeletonized just right for weight reduction, but not to compromise durability. Make feather sticks, batoning and use with ferro rods, the blade will hold just fine! The spine is beveled at a 90 degree angle for those ferro rod moments!

About the 1066 carbon steel: BPS Knives uses 1066 carbon steel in most of their blades - the hardness of the blade keeps the edge sharp for a very long time, but is not brittle or easily cracked. BPS Knives 1066 carbon steel is very wear-resistant, you don't have to worry about the blade chipping or breaking. Relatively easy to sharpen - the maintenance and service procedures to keep the knife sharp are therefore very easy. 1066 carbon steel is not stainless, it's good to remember - carbon steel will rust and corrode if not taken care of. Always clean after use, dry if wet, wipe with cooking oil when stored for a longer period.

The Scandi Grind blade profile is suitable for batoning, making feather sticks, shaving and skinning an animal - a 90 degree spine is good for shaving tinder and striking a spark with a ferro rod. The walnut used in the handle is a dense and durable material, but it doesn't weigh much - the grip of the handle is good even for operating with wet hands. Comes with a high-quality leather sheath and black Paracord pull.
