Replica from M7 Bandolier bag Total of 14 pockets For many use 500D cordura 4,5 L
Helikon Tex Claymore shoulder bag is a bag with a lot of potential. The Claymore bag also has a lot of history behind it, it was originally a one-day tactical bag for the US Army. The bag has been in use by the US Army since the 60s, and it was used to carry the M18A1 mine, which was also called the Claymore mine, hence the name of the bag. Since the Claymore bag was originally used by the military, it might also appeal to practical shooters, because the bag's pockets are just right for different magazines.

Product info

Helikon Tex Claymore shoulder bag is a bag with a lot of potential. The Claymore bag also has a lot of history behind it, it was originally a one-day tactical bag for the US Army. The bag has been in use by the US Army since the 60s, and it was used to carry the M18A1 mine, which was also called the Claymore mine, hence the name of the bag. Since the Claymore bag was originally used by the military, it might also appeal to practical shooters, because the bag's pockets are just right for different magazines.

Helikon Tex wanted to make the bag as durable as possible, that's why 500D Cordura was chosen as the material, which is a much more durable material than cotton or polyester. As mentioned, the bag has a lot of potential, you can use it as an every day shoulder bag in the city, take the bag as a part of your bushcraft gear, or you can harness it for tactical use. The Claymore bag has a total of 14 pockets. The pockets are arranged in such a way that in the event of an emergency, access to them is quick.

There are two large pockets on the front that can be closed with velcro and snaps. The front pockets have elastic band tightening, as well as two compartments in both, which were originally used to store magazines. Three pockets have been added to the back of the bag for extra space. Claymore's so-called the main pocket is zippered and divided into four "magazine pockets" and one large compartment where you can store a notebook or tablet. In addition, there is a separate pocket with a zipper inside. There are loops inside, from which you can hang for example your keys, so that they are easily accessible. The shoulder strap is adjustable, the bag has a carrying handle, and a molle attachment points.

The history of the bag goes back to the 60s and especially to the Vietnam War. One of the most distinctive pieces of equipment in the Vietnam War was the M7 Bandolier, which was a snap-fastened bag with two pockets. In the other pocket was stored an M18A1 anti-personnel mine, aka. Claymore. Another pocket held an M57 firing device and a power tester. After the mines were used, the bag remained for the soldier's use and it started to be called a Claymore bag. Soldiers used the bags after their service ended, and it became so popular that a civilian version began to be produced commercially.
