Taking its name from a famous WWII fighter, the Direct Action SPITFIRE plate carrier is a streamlined and dynamic platform. Lightweight and non-restricting, this plate carrier is one of the lightest in its class.

But at the same time it’s a durable platform, unique in its modularity - converting to a cut-away rig in just a few simple steps. The DA 'cutaway' system is a parachute -type retrofit system, which allows for immediate release and field reassemble without cutaway elements.

The cutaway -system has been created with waterborne ops in mind, it also allows for instant assessment, treating and re-armoring of the wounded teammate. Can be assembled one side only if comms are routed on the other and would not release anyway. The cutaway system is optional accessory, please check the options when ordering.
