DD Underblanket is a separate, heat-insulating accessory to be used with your existing hammock. DD Hammocks tells that it is great addition to be used with hammock sleeping when outsid temperatures wont drop below -5C degreees. What is does, it keeps you and your hammock better insulated from the cold ground.

Set it up as an underblanket for your hammock and you can feel how your body heat will be trapped and kept more efficiently than it would be when only using a hammock. Feeling is a little bit like dressing a warm jacket in winter time. It works great and you will definately feel the difference when you use it.

While hammocking in colder areas, most of the body heat is lost from the bottom of your hammock. This is because the clothing you wear and the down or other filling in your sleeping bag will be compressed against the hammock floor because of your own body weight. Compressed insulation does not insulate well and heat loss is inevitable. Now, if you add the DD Underblanket, it will act like a separate air chamber between you and ground, thus providing insulation and will keep you isolated from gold ground. Instant warmth!

Set it up so that it is not too snug fit, but rather like hugging your hammock gently like on the pictures. It is 2 meters long, so will provide comfortable insulation for most users. Can be used with any DD Hammocks as is and with little bit of extra tinkering works with all other hammocks as well.
